I am so excited to write about my absolute favorite vloggers on YouTube, Charles and Alli Trippy (aka CTFxC/Internet Killed Television.) These two lovebirds have chronicled the past 4 years of their life through DAILY vlogs. Yes, the Trippy’s have not missed one day of vlogging since their first uploaded video, which was posted on May 2, 2009. They recently received the Guinness Word Record for the total number of days vlogs have been consecutively uploaded to YouTube, which they received on day 1570. In total they have garnered close to 400 million views.
Here is the first video they posted.
Here is a the vlog in which they received their Guinness World Record.
These two fellow Floridians have covered a lot of ground in their videos since they began. Charles admitted it began as a month-long challenge but his passion for filmmaking resulted in the creation of his massively popular channel called CTFxC. The vlogs of these fellow Floridians are generally documentation of their hijinks with each other, friends, family and their beloved dogs Zoey and Marley.
There are a few milestone moments that define their 4 year rise to YouTube infamy.
- Charles’ proposal to All when he visited her on a study abroad trip in Valencia, Spain, which happened on Day 157. This vlog went viral and has close to 4 million views.
- Charles’ and Alli’s Wedding on November 20, 2011- Day 934. This vlog has close to 1.5 million views. They created an official wedding video on Charles’ personal channel which has close to 4 million views.
- Lastly, one of the most iconic moments featured in their vlogs took place within the past week (on September 18, 2013) when Charles vlogged during a necessary brain surgery to remove a tumor on the right side of his brain.
What I love most about these two is not only their commitment to each other and vlogging but their realism. They really come across to viewers as personal friends willing to share the most wonderful and hard moments of their lives. Their vlogs are simple, honest and heartfelt. Taking 10-12 minutes of my day to view their escapades never fails to cheer me up as I see a lot of myself within these two and their people they surround themselves with.
I urge you to subscribe to their channel and assist them in gaining even more popularity on the net!
